This week's notes

  • Understudies should attend as many rehearsals of their character as possible.
  • All students should have their scripts and a pencil so they can write instructions.
  • The 1st couple of weeks will be dedicated to the music. The music of Into the Woods is quite difficult and must be mastered before we can go on to the staging of the play.
  • Practice, practice, practice–the music cues are hard–listen to your CDs over and over!
  • We have established an Into the Woods hotline. You can call 766-2647 at any time to hear the week's practice schedule. I will also leave any changes to the schedule on the answering machine. You can also leave a message if you have any questions about the play.
  • We still need parent volunteers for the following roles:
    Media Relations (posters, newspaper)
Ticket Sales (help with advance tickets and at the door)
Costumes (organize and distribute the ones we have)
    Photos/Video (arrange this)
Backstage Parents (help during production week managing numbers backstage)
  • Thank you so much to the parents that have already volunteered!
  • We seem to have very, very, dedicated understudies. I am considering making one of our dress rehearsals an "Understudy" performance. That way, the understudies will get to do a real performance after all of their hard work.
